Challenge

Co-op, a large supermarket chain, wanted to reward employees with a branded, super sustainable reusable coffee cup, reinforcing everyday action and the business’s commitment to sustainability.

Action

Sustainability goes beyond the product. We proposed a locally made cup with a low carbon footprint, crafted from recycled and fully recyclable materials, with a QR code, educating users on recycling, manufacturing and the impact of ditching single use cups.

Impact

The successful cups were launched in Co-op coffee shops as a rent and return scheme. Supported by a range of recycled POS and apparel, the initiative was embraced by the board, employees and customers, becoming a cornerstone of Co-op’s circular economy commitment.
