Eco-friendly
packaging
Challenge
Polystyrene packaging may be lightweight and durable, but it’s highly unsustainable, hard to recycle, slow to decompose, and a major contributor to landfill. As brands face growing pressure to meet sustainability goals, our clients needed a packaging solution that performs just as well, without costing the planet.
Action
We partnered with a specialist supplier to create mushroom based packaging using mycelium blended with natural agricultural by products like hemp, cork and sawdust.
By repurposing local farm and forestry waste, it eliminates virgin materials and delivers a strong, protective, fully compostable alternative to plastic and foam.
Impact
Mushroom packaging breaks down naturally in around 40 days, returning nutrients to the soil with no harmful residue, while matching the strength and insulation of traditional materials. It lets brands prove their sustainability credentials, meet environmental regulations, and connect with eco conscious customers without compromising performance or protection.
