The challenge

Honda were launching a new Model – Type R – with a very different target audience to the traditional Honda buyer. They required development of a new range of merchandise that would appeal to a very different audience.

What we did

Conducted an intensive brand immersion to understand this different consumer, tapped into existing trend resources to ensure new merchandise range was on trend and would have strong appeal to the Type R buyer. We created a separate range with a strong retail look and feel, appealing to a ‘Fast & Furious’ consumer. Developed an email marketing campaign to promote the new range and strategy behind it, encouraging dealership buy-in and purchase.

The effects

Drove extra revenue for dealerships as merchandise was sold to consumers, as well as being used as giveaways to close car sales. Enthusiastic response from dealerships across the UK and Europe with higher than expected merchandise sales.
