Neuroscientists from the University of Tokyo have found that writing things down by hand is better for learning and memorisation.

The physical cues of handwriting:

  • The shapes of your letters and the tactile feel of the paper and pen
  • Where your words fall on your page
  • Details – folded corners, ink colour or page marks

Our brains absorb these physical cues which triggers our memory. Whilst digitally taking notes has its benefits, handwriting is more tactile and spatial.

There’s something therapeutic about the controlled and delicate movements of handwriting. See our ideas* below on how you can enhance learning with our unique, customisable writing equipment designed to help you bring your ideas to life.
