It’s not often you’re asked to produce novelty crumpet*-shaped, custom-made slippers, but then we’ve learnt not to be surprised by anything at Marke Creative!
A leading UK baking manufacturer wanted to launch a ‘giving back’ social media Christmas fundraising campaign with this light-hearted gift.
Client efforts to source and deliver from a raft of suppliers however, had so far failed and our client was running out of time.
Action
It’s in this situation that our extensive global network of partner suppliers really comes into its own.
We designed, created, produced, and delivered the limited-edition crumpet slippers within an exceptionally short timeframe to meet the tight deadline.
Impact
Who knew that crumpet slippers would be such a hit?!
They sold out within days while achieving huge media coverage including 71 pieces of national, regional and consumer coverage. They certainly got people talking, with the 200 pairs gifted to influencers and the media resulting in 118 pieces of organic social coverage.
Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds were donated to FareShare, a leading UK charity fighting food poverty and waste, and over 85,000 meals donated to families in need.
